The expert AI is pretty bad at preserving their units, so as long as you can keep most of the resource points capped, you'll have enough resources to counter its output. Well, I might be biased, since I haven't played against a Hard CPU in ages, but I think expert will teach you a bit more about unit preservation, territory control and being the underdog. Tbh I sometimes fail againdt expert on some maps because I can't compete against 10 capped points at 1:30.
